On Wednesday, April 29, 2020, the Chaplaincy Department at University of the West hosted a discussion panel featuring Buddhist Chaplains currently working in the field during the coronavirus global pandemic. Hosted by Rev. Jitsujo Gauthier, Ph.D., chair of the Chaplaincy Dept. at UWest, the discussion is an important one, as it highlights how chaplains in general, and Buddhist Chaplains specifically, are responding to the challenges of social distancing and anxiety during this unprecedented crisis. Thanks to the panelists, Chaplain Holly Hisamoto, Chaplain Aroon Seeda, Ven. Moogoo, Ven. Longyun, Ven. Guan Liao, and Xiaoxi Wang, for sharing their experiences and offering first-hand insights into the state of chaplaincy.
