Let’s meet this moment and flatten the curve together!
As care providers and spiritual practitioners, we are all trying to figure out how to take care of ourselves while we tend to others. Social distancing and responsible isolation present unprecedented challenges. Already we have seen many of you use creative and innovative ways to demonstrate your compassion and empathy.
At IBCF, we are stirred to action by watching you. Today we are introducing Project Metta as a way to amplify hope, beauty, inspiration, and goodwill during the Big Pause. We are soliciting videos, artwork, messages, song, music, poems—anything really—as a balance to all the negativity that is constantly being projected by the media, social media, and even among ourselves via idle chatter. We want to post these offerings through all platforms (website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, youtube, etc.).
Will you join us to be the lamp in the darkness? Would you be willing to record a short message for the project? You could read a poem, sing a song, dance, create artwork, or anything that suits you. It would be great to have your voice in any form. Please include info about yourself and your organization, as well as how people could reach you. You could send us your videos and images and we’ll post them. You could also post them on your own social media using the hashtag #projectmetta.
Let’s do this!
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Fo Guang Shan (佛光山) for giving us official permission to use this video in support of #ProjectMetta.
