Associate Chaplain for Buddhist and Interfaith Programs and Director of the Davidson Meditation Initiative
Davidson College is seeking an Associate Chaplain for Buddhist and Interfaith Programs and Director of the Davidson Meditation Initiative. The position is part of the campus’s Chaplains’ Office team. In addition to providing pastoral care and counseling to students, faculty, and staff, the role includes instilling a distinctive Buddhist voice and presence at college gatherings, as well as devising Buddhist programming that will serve the entire campus with a focus on diversity, inclusiveness, and pluralism.
Davidson College is a highly selective liberal arts college in North Carolina. Despite a very modest student body of less than 1,900, Davidson is committed to “recruiting and retaining a diverse faculty and staff committed to building an inclusive community.” The employment position being offered is full-time and includes regular benefits.
