How to live an ethical life: Becoming a Peacemaker
Online Course: June 30 – July 28
Tuesdays 4pm PDT
What is an ethical life? How do we maintain a balance between the internal and external, the sense of self versus the image that we project on the outside? And how are we dealing with that in the midst of a global pandemic?
Zen Center Los Angeles is offering a 5-week Precepts Course to explore these questions and more. Reverend Dr. Jitsujo Gauthier will be teaching this online class from June 30 to July 28. Details and registration available here.
The course is open everyone, particularly “those who aspire to live an ethical life regardless of religious or spiritual affiliation. It is also open to those without a religious or spiritual affiliation seeking to deepen their experience of being here.”
Whether you want to learn about the Zen precepts or reinforce your understanding of the teachings and to reinvigorate your practice, this course is for anyone who has the time and desire. While the base cost is $150, which is reasonable already, ZCLA’s policy is to not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. There is a sliding rate that is offer when you register.
